Stacy Gregg is a best-selling author of genre pony fiction with 17 titles published in her two popular series, Pony Club Secrets and Pony Club Rivals, both published by HarperCollins. Pony Club Secrets has been optioned for adaptation to screen by Libertine Productions, New Zealand.
The Princess and the Foal (HarperCollins 2013), inspired by the extraordinary real-life childhood of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein of Jordan, marked a transition into literary fiction and a first Arabic translation rights deal for the agency! The Island of Lost Horses, a dramatic adventure set on a remote Bahamian island, followed in autumn 2014 and cemented Stacy’s reputation as an author of beautifully constructed novels – inspired by real events – which explore the extraordinary bond between children (especially girls) and horses; guaranteed to tug at the heartstrings. It won the accolade of Children's Choice at the 2015 New Zealand Children's Book Awards. Several more stand-alone novels followed, including The Diamond Horse and The Thunderbolt Pony. Her new novel, The Fire Stallion, published in October 2018 which will also see the first of Stacy's picture books, Minny Whinny: Happy Birthday to Me, published by Scholastic New Zealand.
Stacy divides her time between riding horses and writing about them. She travels widely to research her books and is currently working on some shiny new publishing proposals!
